'I am a painter and I work primarily on canvas using pencil and acrylic. My subject matter is derived directly, both consciously and sub-consciously, from my immediate environment, from landscape, from travel and from the human form. In my work I continually explore the relationships and balance that exist between line, space and colour, painting the borderlines between the abstract and reality, the emotion and actuality. I look for the simplicity in the chaos, looking to reduce forms to their essence, to capture a sense of place and time and continuity.'

'Rydw i'n beintwraig sy'n gweithio ar gynfas gyda pensil ac acrylic. Mae'r testun yn dod o fy amgylchedd - o'r tirlun, o deithio ac o'r ffurf ddynol. Yn fy nghwaith, archwiliaf y berthynas a'r cydbwysedd sy'n bodoli rhwng llinell, gofod a lliw, gan beintio rhwng yr abstract a relaeth, yr emosiwn a'r gwir. Chwiliaf am symylrwydd yng nghanol terfysg, gan leihau ffurfiau i'w gwreiddiau i ddal y teimald o le, amser a parhad'
